Family Outing and Meeting Someone New

Well my Sweet Readers it has been a few days since I have written anything, but to be honest there was nothing overly interesting to write about and the weather has been absolutely terrible. It has been raining non stop for about four days and has been bitterly cold. I thought I would wait a couple of days until the weather got better and we could go out and I would have something interesting to write about.  And I do.

Just a quick catch up on what has happened in the time I have been absent. We got a new sofa. It is fantastic. Its a two seater recliner and extremely comfortable. In fact, this morning Gursehaj and I took a little nap together on it. I'm also writing this blog right now while sitting on it. Also, Gursehaj has started rocking back and forth on his hands and knees which is so exciting. I think it won't be long before he will be crawling.

Today, since the weather has let up, we were able to go out for the day. It was very nice after being at home for quite a few days. We went to the big shopping mall that is near us for some shopping. There was a few things I wanted to get. After some shopping, we stopped and had an iced coffee's each and a little something to eat, well Gursehaj ate most of it. It was nice to just sit and watch people go by about their lives. Gursehaj is at the age now where he likes to look at the things around him.

While we were sitting and watching people go by, a lady asked if she could come and sit with us. Of course, we said yes. We sat a talked for a good while, Gursehaj gave her big smiles. She had some other Sikh friends and had even been over to India to attend a wedding over there. It is always nice to hear about other peoples lives.

Today was also the final night of Turban week. So if you haven't seen them already I will leave the link below for todays video. Check it out, don't for get to give it a thumbs up if you like it and hit the subscribe button and turn on the notifications to get notified when we upload our next video. Looking Forward

Today was another milestone for our little boy. Our little boy is now sitting forward in his car seat. Here in Australia there is a legal requirement that infants need to be in a rear facing car seat until the age of six months old. Our seat also says that his shoulders need to be above a certain line on the seat. Today being that he is six months and one day old, we tested to see if he was ready to turn around.

We did our first check in the house to see if his shoulders were above the line. They were. Our second check was in the car to make sure he was happy. He was.

We had to go to the Doctor's this morning for his six month immunisations. I don't think any Mummy likes to take their child to get needles. But today he was a very strong and brave boy, not many tears this time.

Don't forget this week on our Youtube channel it's Turban week. We have uploaded another turban tieing video, so jump on over to our Youtube channel and check it out. I will leave the link below.

Well its getting late. Sorry for such a small blog but that is all that happened today. Will write some more tomorrow.

Good Night Sweet Readers.

A Big Half Birthday For Gursehaj

Today was a big day. Gursehaj turned six months old today. His half birthday. I don't know where the time has gone. It feels like it was only yesterday that he was born. Why does time have to go so fast.

Yesterday afternoon and last night was spent making his cake with Gursehaj's help. I had made him a chocolate cake in the shape of Captain Barnacle from the Octonauts cartoon show. He likes watching that cartoon.

This morning while Gursehaj was taking his first nap we decorated the Dining room with streamers and balloons and made a nibble platter for us big people. When Gursehaj woke from his nap I made him some Banana and Avocado (which he loves) He then was able to talk to his family in India. He was all a chatter for his Bhuii. He loves her so much. We then waited for Aggie and Dar to get home to cut the cake.

When we cut the cake we clicked a few pics. Then I changed Gursehaj's clothes because we gave him the ear of the cake to make a mess with. He loved the Cake. He had cake everywhere. Smashed through his fingers, over his face, all over his highchair and most of it on the floor. By the size of the mess he made I don't think much went into his mouth.

After all that excitement our little boy was very tired and he took a nap. While he napped I was able to clean up the mess and set everything back into it's place.

Now he is asleep for the night after he had his bath and milk. It has been a very big day for him and for me as well.

Now my Sweet Readers, Papa is doing a Turban week on our Youtube channel. He will be uploading one video every night showing how to tie different styles of Turban, so check out our Youtube channel to see our Turban week.

Its getting late now so I'm off to bed.
