Tweety had a bath

Hey my Sweet Readers, I know I was MIA (Missing in Action) again yesterday and I know the excuse of being tired is getting tiresome (haha) but I did work more hours yesterday and I was so busy there I actually fell asleep with Gursehaj when I got home.

Today, I had to do something that was in desperate need of doing. I gave Tweety bird a bath. After hours of loving and kisses from Gursehaj, he was very dirty. So....... in the washing machine he went.

I was so happy he came out the other end ok, and very clean. I was worried that we might of lost Tweety in the wash but he was ok and after some sun baking in the back yard he was very relaxed and rested to play with Gursehaj again.

Today we also made another cooking video. This time I cooked Vegemite Lachha Paratha. I came up with the recipe a while ago, when we both wanted seperate things for breakfast one morning. I wanted Vegemite on toast and Papa wanted Lachha Paratha's. So I decided to put the two together and Bam this little spark of geniusness happened.

New Vlog Uploaded Today

Happy Happy Hippo is a success....

It is amazing how one little toy can make a little boy so happy. He absolutely loves his happy happy hippo he got yesterday. He has it with him everywhere. He has it with him on the floor while he plays, he has it with him in his high chair while he's eating, he even has it with him when he is sitting on the bed watching his cartoons. Its great when he looks up at his Aggie while he is playing on his play mat, waiting for her to copy what the hippo says. "I love you, I love you, Mwah Mwah Mwah". 😂😂

I did a little cooking today as well. I made Vegetarian Sausage Rolls, made from Red lentils. I also made some Yellow Dal and rice, both were very very tasty. I have been thinking of making some more cooking videos and I am curious, my Sweet Readers, what would you like to see me cook, so comment down below what you would like to see. If you can't comment on here then please comment below the link in Facebook.

Today we uploaded another video. We got some great video's from Gursehaj Face timing with his family in India. So please click on the link below, Don't forget to like, subscribe and press the bell button to turn on the notifications.

Happy Happy Hippo

Its raining again today, but we made the most of it inside. But I did have to working in the afternoon.

Gursehaj shared his lunch today with his Wadaye Papa (Grandfather) and Dadi Maa (Grandmother) and also with his Bhuii and Fuffar Ji. Gursehaj loves face-timing with his family. We were able to take a photo with all of us in the picture, an International Photo. I love that we now have things like video calling. Gursehaj gets to see his family any time he wants and they get to see his milestones. We were face-timing with them while he tried Dal for the first time. He seemed to like it a lot, well his finished it.

I went to work after he had his lunch. My work colleague had brought Gursehaj a toy. It was all wrapped up. So when I got home from work I set Gursehaj in his high chair and gave him his present. He quite enjoyed opening up his present. It was a Hippo with teething feet and it sings. He absolutely loves it. He was playing a chewing on it for ages.

Well my Sweet Readers, I better get some rest. Good Night.

Sunshine and Friendly Ducks

Today turned out being a fantastic day. Papa and I were going to take Gursehaj out for a picnic but one thing led to another and we ended up having our picnic here at home.

A little while after having lunch we headed down to a place near here called Garvey Park. It is a great park right on the Swan River. There is a Kayaking club, a kiosk, cute little playground and some great Bike/walking paths. There was even a place that had tools to fix your bike if something happened.

While we were at the park we enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. It was again a beautiful sunny day. We were feeling a little thirsty so we went to the little Kiosk for something cold to drink, they were just closing but the lovely ladies there were happy to sell us a couple of cans of soft drink. We went for a little stroll and looked around while we drank our drinks.

I had taken a picnic blanket with us and a little play mat for Gursehaj. We laid it down and laid Gursehaj down for some tummy time in the sun. Of course we couldn't let this sunny day go by without clicking a few family photo's.

The day started to get a little cooler so we decided to pack up to head for home. Just as we were packing up the blankets, two very inquisitive ducks decided to come up to us to see if we had any food for them. Amazingly they were very friendly and we were able to get some great photo's with them getting close to us. When they had realised that we didn't have any food for them they wandered off to look for something else to eat.

After packing up the blankets we heading for the car. We put Gursehaj and our things into the car and headed for home. On the way home Gursehaj fell asleep. He is such a cutie pie.

Now its getting late. Gursehaj is sleeping beside me looking so sweet. I am going to get some much needed sleep now. Good night Sweet Readers.

Time for Cooking

Well I did it again.

I missed publishing another blog. Unfortunately I came down with a terrible headache and was unable to even look at this computer. But I have some great news. I woke up this morning with no headache. Now I can let you know what we did yesterday.

Well we, (Papa, Aggie and myself) went up to Mundaring and spent some time at a park, unfortunately it didn't have any thing for Gursehaj to play with. I think he was a little too small for this park. We then went and had some lunch at a small cafe/bakery, the food was very nice. Gursehaj was a little tired and he napped the whole time. We then went to another smaller park to see if there was anything he could play with. There was a spiral slide which we enjoyed together. After having our little play we went shopping at Aldi. When we got home we were all very tired.

Today we did something very exciting. We filmed another Vlog. Well actually it was a cooking Vlog. I cooked Baingan Da Bharta (Punjabi Roasted Eggplant Curry).

Where Does It Come From????

There is something I have been pondering today. It's been really making me think.

Where does Dust come from?

No matter how much you clean and dust, it still comes back. Its a constant thing. I dust daily and upend the beds to get the bunnies out once a week. But miss a week and they turn into monsters.

The morning started the same way as all mornings, except I did get blessed with a little sleep in this morning. Gursehaj slept until 8 am. It was fantastic. I did my usual cleaning and got things ready, because Gursehaj was spending the afternoon with his Papa. I worked today for five hours instead of the usual three.

Gursehaj was a very good boy for his Papa today. They played lots and took good naps. When they came to the shop to pick me up he was so excited. He had big big smiles for me. I missed my two boys so much today and I think they missed me too. Being away from them for so long is very hard. But missing them goes away when I see both their beautiful smiles, it makes me realise just how much God has blessed me with the two of them.

On the way home we picked up some dinner because I knew as soon as we got home he would want his bath. He loves his bath time. He has started playing in the water now. We were talking tonight about getting him some bath toys. Just after his bath he had his milk and went straight to bed.

Good night sweet readers. It is getting late. We have a very big day planned. Will write about it tomorrow evening.

A New Face Lift

Hello Sweet readers.

Well has the title of this blog states, yes we are working on a face lift.........for the blog.

I have been learning how to make a better blog. I am going to be working on the look of this blog and making a few changes over the next few days. So stayed tuned for the new look.

Back to the normal blog.....

This morning started bright and early, with no little nap after Gursehaj's milk. He decided that he needed to play with his toys very early this morning. Mind you thats a good thing, when he is down on his play mat he is learning to get up on his hands and knees. He has been scooting and chasing his toys all around his play mat.

I made Spicy Paneer (Bhurji) with Roti for lunch, it was very tasty. Gursehaj was napping when I was making Roti but just as we were about to sit down and eat he woke up and wanted to join us. So I sat him in his high chair and he had a Rusk.

Today my sister needed us to pick up her youngest again, which was great, Gursehaj really loves her. They sat together and he was grabbing her face. When my sister came to pick her up she also brought her oldest with her. We all had a cuppa and a catch up and we tried some Butterscotch Fluff. Its very nice but a little too sweet.

Well its getting late again. I better get some sleep, Im working again tomorrow, and working longer hours.

Good night Sweet Readers.

Two Day One Blog

Hello Everyone. This evening I am writing two blogs in one. Last night I wasn't able to write my blog. After a very long day and Gursehaj not wanting to go to bed, I was simply too exhausted to write. I know if anyone of my readers are Parents they would understand.

Now lets begin.  I spent yesterday morning doing the usual household chores, clothes washing (haha thats everyday when you have a baby), and I cooked some rice for lunch. Just after lunch I had an old friend come to visit, we had a coffee and caught up on whats been happening. Just as he was leaving, Mum had arrived home.

My sister had called soon after Mum came home. She asked if we could pick up her youngest as she was running late and couldn't make if in time, I offered to go, I love my Niece and so does Gursehaj. He can't take his eyes off his Cousin. It was great to be able to spend some with her. My sister came a little later to pick her up. She was able to stop for a coffee and a quick catch up.

Today was a little less busy. In the morning I did a few household chores. Mum made some yummy buttermilk pancakes.

I went to work this afternoon. Western Australia are phasing out the use of single use plastic bag, so today at work was the first day that we are started to reduce the use of them for our customers.

This morning we had a poll on Facebook and Instagram on what video everyone would like to see on our YouTube Channel. We asked if they would like to see a Turban Tieing video or a video of Papa singing to me on my first birthday with him. On Instagram the votes were majority for Turban and on Facebook the majority were for Birthday Song. So we decided to upload both video's. So please jump on over to our YouTube Channel and check them out. Don't forget to hit the like button. Also subscribe and turn on the notifications so you will know when we upload and more videos.

Here are the links for both:

Another First for us

Yesterday during our wonderful family fun day, we were taking lots of little clips of our day. Last night Papa edited them all together and this morning I posted our first Vlog. 👉👉👉👉 Click here to watch our Video 👈👈👈👈  Please don't forget to like 👍 and Subscribe and tap on the bell to turn on the notifications.

Today has been a very relaxed day. After such a big day yesterday, we needed to rest and revive ourselves. Gursehaj spent the day playing, napping, eating and snapchatting. He tried some more avocado today. He still pulled a face and wanted more.

The rain came back today, it was actually rather odd. One minute there was sunshine and the next minute it was pouring with rain and blowing a gail. It was like small storms were passing over all day.

Well today's blog is a little short but we didn't do much today. But please don't forget to check out our Youtube channel and our very first Vlog.

Ok my sweet readers, good night.

Adventure Time

Good evening sweet readers. Let me tell you about the day we had today. It was definitely a big fantastic day. Let me start from the beginning.

This morning my Mum and I spent the morning making yummy food for a picnic we were going to. We made Taco Lettuce Cups made with Soya mince, Mediterranean Pasta salad (Papa's Favourite) and coleslaw.

At about 10:30 we left to go down to meet up with Gursehaj's Uncle Mark (Mama Ji), his Aunty Christine (Mami Ji) and his cousin Rhys. We met up at my brothers house, while we were there Gursehaj got to see a rabbit for the first time. You see they have a very friendly pet rabbit. Its a very cute little thing. He thought it was great, he had a great big smile on his face.

Gursehaj loves his cousin Rhys. They played together while we were gathering the last of the things we needed for the picnic. Rhys was singing a nursery rhyme called "Once I caught a fish alive", every time Rhys stopped singing Gursehaj would call out to get him to sing again. Gursehaj loves his Uncle Mark and Aunty Christine as well, he gave his Uncle Mark lots of big hugs and was giving Aunty Christine big big kisses.

We left their house and we followed them to a play ground near their house. Its an Adventure Play ground. It would have to be the best play ground I have ever seen in my entire life. There was so much to do there, I wished I was a kid again so I could play there too. There was places for all age groups. There is a big boardwalk with musical steps, ropes to climb, swings to swing on, a flying fox, places to bounce, a water park and other fun things for kids to play on. There is also BBQ'S there and picnic tables and covered areas to sit.

We chose a nice place on the grass to sit and have our picnic. Christine made a really yummy Couscous Ratatouille salad. We laid out the food on the blanket. All the food was very yummy and healthy.

Gursehaj tried some avocado for the first time. It was funny, he didn't know what to think of it. He pulled a funny face but he wanted more when I offered him some.

Once we had eaten, we sat and enjoyed watching the all the kids playing and we chatted. After some time, Papa and Uncle Mark went

and got us adults some well needed coffee. Once we had that we decided it was getting a little too cold and thought it was time to go home. So after packing up and saying our goodbyes we headed back home.

Gursehaj was very tired when we got home. It didn't take very long for him to want his bath and to go to bed. Now I think it is my turn to go to bed as it is getting late and I am very tired after our big adventurous day.

Good night sweet readers. I will write again tomorrow.

Shopping and Old Friends

Today was a great day. The sun was shining and the weather was warm. Papa and I decided to take Gursehaj out for a little trip to the shops. We needed to get a few things for tomorrow. We have a big outing planned for tomorrow. We went to the shopping centre where I work, the girls that I know that work there loved Gursehaj, they hadn't seen him in a little while.

While at the shops, we found a little pop up shop that sold jewellery and other small trinkets. We saw a very cute little watch and we decided to get it for Gursehaj. He looks so cute with it on and he seemed to like having it on and showing it off.

This afternoon we had a visitor. My old high school friend Lisa came for a visit with her partner Andy. It was great to catch up with them. We discussed our High school reunion that is being planned for 2020. We were discussing where would be a good place to have it. I suggested that since most of us have families now so it would be a good idea for it to be kid friendly. We also chatted about friends we have lost contact with and how we can get back in contact with them.

Well my sweet readers it is getting late and we have a big day planned for tomorrow. Stay tuned to find out where we're going and who we're seeing.

Sun, Park and Hot Ramen

Today was another beautiful sunny day. Today is also Sangrand. I would have loved to enjoy the sun, but I had to work today. I do enjoy working to be honest, you get to meet some great customers. Today was like a mini School reunion. Three of my old school friends came to the shopping centre where I work. It was great to catch up with them.

Gursehaj was with his Papa today, they had a great time together. They enjoyed the sun. It was warm enough for them to go to the park. Gursehaj was bundled up in something warm still because there was a slight breeze. He was looking around the park and watching the birds. Papa told me that Gursehaj was looking for me as well. They took a few really great photo's when they were there as well.

Today I was able to get some Hot Ramen. It is the Ramen they use in the Fire noodle challenge which was all over YouTube. We tried it tonight. Its very hot. Comment down below if you would like to see Papa and I do some Spicy food challenges and we can upload the videos on our Youtube Channel once it is up an running.

Well that is all for today. Good night sweet readers.

Sun Sun Glorious Sun

Its back, Its back, the sun came back.

Today has been a glorious day. The sun was shining, the sky was a beautiful blue and it got to 21 degrees. Having a look at the weather app on my phone this lovely sun is going to stay for three more days, hopefully. I spent the day catching up on the laundry and spending time out in the sun with my son and his Papa. Our boy is getting better and better. Cough is almost all gone and not a running nose in sight. The sun would have done wonders for him as well.

Our little boy is getting to be a clever little one. He was sitting all by himself while he was talking to his Bhuii (His Papa's Sister). He was sitting and leaning to grab for his toys. He always wants the phone when we're on it, the other day he was giving his Bhuii kisses on the phone, it was so cute.

He is very loving little boy. Grabbing two fists of hair as he give kisses. I think I am actually getting a patch of missing hair behind one of my ears. I often have to get hair out of his fist before he puts it in his mouth, and everything goes in the mouth. Toys, his hands, feet, our hands and those little teeth are sharp too.

This afternoon he was laughing and giggling with his Papa. They were playing for a long time. By 7 o'clock he was definitely ready for his bath. Normally I like him to have his bath at that time. That way he has his milk and is in bed by 7:30. Most nights he sleeps through the night.

Well sorry for this being another short Blog, but in the next couple of days there will be lot more to talk about.

We are organising our first ever VLOG

So stayed tuned.

Well good night sweet readers. Will write again tomorrow.

Footy or Basketball?????

Well this morning started off just the same as any other morning. Bright and early at 5am. Our beautiful boy slept all night, which was a fantastic change. He is definitely feeling better. I can no longer hear the rattle in his lungs, which means that the Anti-Biotics are working well. When he woke up he had his milk and we snuggled back into bed. Which is my favourite thing to do.

Today is Wednesday which means I work in the afternoon for three hours in a small shop. Its nice to get out of the house but I miss my little boy terribly every time. He stays with his Papa while I work. I love that he gets to have one on one time with him. When I got home this afternoon both boys had just woken up from naps. When I came into the room Gursehaj had a big smile on his face and wanted to be picked up immediately. It shows that he misses me as much as I miss him while I'm at work.

This afternoon Gursehaj was sitting all by himself. I can't believe how fast he is growing. Waheguru's blessing. Soon he will be crawling. I wish there was a pause button sometimes. One moment he is a tiny baby, next minute he's sitting by himself.

After putting Gursehaj down for the night. My Mum, Papa and I where discussing what sport is good for our boy to play when he grows up. We all agree that he would be great at either footy or basketball as he is going to be very tall and has big hands. Definitely not a lazy game like Cricket (as his Papa says) and to be honest that game makes me fall asleep.

So over all not much really exciting happened today, unfortunately that makes for a shorter Blog. But it is getting late so bye for now. Write again tomorrow.

Rainy days and Chole

Rain rain go away come again another day......

It has been raining on and off for about ten days now. Honestly it feels like we're living back in Melbourne. The weather there was terrible. The weather app on my phone says its going to partially cloudy tomorrow. I really do hope it is. I miss the sun. I have never like the winter months. Always been a summer child.

Now since its a cold and rainy day I thought it would be nice to cook some Chole Puri (Chickpea and Fried Roti) Its a very tasty popular Indian Breakfast dish and very popular in my little family.

Now my Chole is fairly easy. First I fry some Jeera Seed (Cumin Seed) and Hing in some hot oil, to that I add some chopped onion and cook until translucent. Next I add finely chopped Garlic and Ginger. I cook this for about two to three minutes. I then add my spices, turmeric, cumin powder, fresh green chilli and salt to taste. I then add my pre-soaked Chick pea and enough water to cover about half an inch above the chick pea in a Whistle Cooker. I cook this for 16 whistles and Voila.

After having a lovely lunch we had some amazing Maggie's Pudding for dessert. Its a pudding that my Aunty use to make for some lovely old people in a nursing home a long time ago and is very yummy. My mum had made this one. We had it with Ice cream and Banana flavoured Angels Delight (I call it Banana Fluff).

Our little boy is starting to feel better. Today he played a lot with his toys and was his happy little self again. His cough has gotten a little better and his sniffles are starting to clear. Well and truly on the mend again. He tried some Ice cream and Banana fluff today when we were having our dessert. He loves Banana Fluff.

The little one is sleeping now. Snuggled up with one of his new fluffy blanket his Aggie (my Mum) got him yesterday. I'm going to heat up some milk and curl up myself.

Good night all.

Cough colds and runny noses

Well its been a few days since my last Blog. Yes, I know I did say that there was going to be one a day. But one thing I didn't think of was that my beautiful little boy came down with a cold. So for the last week I have been having to spend all my time with him making him feel better. On the up side I can tell you guys all about it.

Unfortunately I was the one that brought the cold home and passed it onto him. The down side to working in a place that has lots of customers, bugs get shared around. I feel absolutely terrible that I was the reason why my little one so sick and yes, he has been very sick. Mind you the whole time he was still his happy little self, well most of the time.

                                     Laying back Watching Cartoons

It started off very mild as just a little sore throat and a sniffly nose. For me it only lasted about two days. But as my sweet little Gursehaj is only five months old he doesn't have the ability to blow his nose or do the other things that adults can do to rid themselves from colds. Which also means that the sickness hung around and traveled down.

Monday, I had taken Gursehaj to the Doctor because his little cough had changed a little. The Doctor had said that his cold was only viral and there was no need for any Anti-Biotics. He just said to keep he warm, keep his fluids up and he needed plenty of rest, the usual advice for any cold. He did start to get better for a little while but the other morning I was feeding him his morning bottle and I heard a noise I never wanted to hear. To me it sounded like his cold had shifted to his chest. So bundling Gursehaj and plenty of warm clothes, my Mum and I took him back down to the Doctor. Unfortunately due to the fact that it was a weekend there was only one Doctor on. We had to sit and wait two hours to see him. Luckily, Gursehaj being the happy little man he is, he was smiling and singing away for everyone. God love him, even when he's sick he's a happy little guy.

After our long wait I was finally able to see the doctor. The Doctor loved his beautifully long eyelashes. After a quick discussion on how to say his name, like most people, LOL. He examined him and he determined that his cold had moved to his chest and prescribed Anti-Biotics for him.

It funny how small things will bring back memories from your childhood. This time it was the smell from the Anti-biotics. I remember taking the same medicine when I was a child. Tutti Fruity flavour.

Today he is starting to show signs of improvement, thank goodness. He got a parcel from his Bhuii and Fuffar Ji (his Papa's Sister and her Husband) In it was some gorgeous outfits and a cute pair of sunglasses. When he gets a little better he can try them on. At the moment its a little cold to be taking clothes on and off again. In a few days it will be a little warmer and hopefully he will be feeling a lot better. I will be able to see what he looks like in them. They look very cute. He already loves his sunglasses.

Well it's getting late now. Time to catch up on some sleep. Will write again tomorrow for sure.

Bye for now

There is always a first

And this is mine........

Last night Hubby and I were talking about how to make our little splash in this massively huge pond we live in........ Well for starters this is it.

I have set myself a Challenge to Blog our daily life. I see all these Vlogger's on YouTube and would like to do something similar. I'm not one for being in front of a camera all day so a nice little Blog works so much better for me. Now of course I will be letting you see into our little world with Photos. We will Vlog as well but only events that are worth Vlogging. Like when we go out and such. So lets see how I do.

Now enough of the boring introduction of why I'm blogging and lets begin with the Fantastic Introduction of my Wonderful little FamBam.

Well for starters there obviously there is me. I'm Mecca Gill Also known as Mum. I was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. Did the usual, grew up in a normal family, went to school here.
Then there is My Wonderful Sweet Husband Sardar Sherbir Singh Gill, also known as Papa. As you may have already guessed by his name, he was born and raised in Punjab, India. Amritsar, Punjab, India to be exact. My sweet husband and I met in Melbourne. I will write a whole different blog for the how we met and fell in love story.
Sherbir Singh and I have a beautiful little Boy, his name is Gursehaj Singh Gill. I might be a little bias being his mum and all but I will let you all decide that.

                                        This is our little FamBam

So on with our Daily Blog.

Today started bright and early this morning like always. Gursehaj woke me up at about 4:30 this morning. The poor little bugger has been suffering from a head cold and also teething. So he hasn't been the most happiest little boy for the last couple days. One thing I love about the early morning wake ups is, after he has his Milk we have a little snuggle back in bed together. Normally we both fall back to sleep for a few hours, which is nice. This morning wasn't any different.

He seems to like to do things a little different than others. All the experts say that babies don't get teeth until they are about six months old. HaHa. Not this little one. He sprouted his first two teeth at four months. He is five months old now and is starting to get around. He's rolling everywhere and chasing his toys around his play mat. Scooting I think they call it.

Well while he is taking his nap I better get some house work done. The never ending housework that comes with babies. I have to admit I love it and my little FamBam.

By for now. Will fill you in more in my Next Blog.

Love Ya's
XOXO
