Cough colds and runny noses

Well its been a few days since my last Blog. Yes, I know I did say that there was going to be one a day. But one thing I didn't think of was that my beautiful little boy came down with a cold. So for the last week I have been having to spend all my time with him making him feel better. On the up side I can tell you guys all about it.

Unfortunately I was the one that brought the cold home and passed it onto him. The down side to working in a place that has lots of customers, bugs get shared around. I feel absolutely terrible that I was the reason why my little one so sick and yes, he has been very sick. Mind you the whole time he was still his happy little self, well most of the time.

It started off very mild as just a little sore throat and a sniffly nose. For me it only lasted about two days. But as my sweet little Gursehaj is only five months old he doesn't have the ability to blow his nose or do the other things that adults can do to rid themselves from colds. Which also means that the sickness hung around and traveled down.

Monday, I had taken Gursehaj to the Doctor because his little cough had changed a little. The Doctor had said that his cold was only viral and there was no need for any Anti-Biotics. He just said to keep he warm, keep his fluids up and he needed plenty of rest, the usual advice for any cold. He did start to get better for a little while but the other morning I was feeding him his morning bottle and I heard a noise I never wanted to hear. To me it sounded like his cold had shifted to his chest. So bundling Gursehaj and plenty of warm clothes, my Mum and I took him back down to the Doctor. Unfortunately due to the fact that it was a weekend there was only one Doctor on. We had to sit and wait two hours to see him. Luckily, Gursehaj being the happy little man he is, he was smiling and singing away for everyone. God love him, even when he's sick he's a happy little guy.

After our long wait I was finally able to see the doctor. The Doctor loved his beautifully long eyelashes. After a quick discussion on how to say his name, like most people, LOL. He examined him and he determined that his cold had moved to his chest and prescribed Anti-Biotics for him.

It funny how small things will bring back memories from your childhood. This time it was the smell from the Anti-biotics. I remember taking the same medicine when I was a child. Tutti Fruity flavour.

Today he is starting to show signs of improvement, thank goodness. He got a parcel from his Bhuii and Fuffar Ji (his Papa's Sister and her Husband) In it was some gorgeous outfits and a cute pair of sunglasses. When he gets a little better he can try them on. At the moment its a little cold to be taking clothes on and off again. In a few days it will be a little warmer and hopefully he will be feeling a lot better. I will be able to see what he looks like in them. They look very cute. He already loves his sunglasses.

Well it's getting late now. Time to catch up on some sleep. Will write again tomorrow for sure.

Bye for now

Love Ya's
xx
